Background
I started tinkering with mechanical watches during graduate school in 2021. Since it was during the COVID shutdown, I had a bit more free time than I knew what to do with. My interest in building watches grew and I was hooked!
After graduation, I became fixated on the idea of starting my own watch brand, so I started playing around with a name and logo. I wanted to include my love for science in the name, and Proton Timepieces was born!
Big science nerd
Anyone who knows me knows I'm a huge nerd when it comes to astronomy, chemistry, physics that I can only pretend to understand, and keeping up with the most recent advancements in technology.
Getting outdoors
Having grown up in the foothills of North Carolina, hiking and camping with my family made up a large chunk of my childhood. Now that I'm in East Tennessee, I get to continue enjoying everything Appalachia has to offer.
The Wife
My wife, Ashley, is also outdoorsy and she makes sourdough bread that'll knock your socks off. She's been a huge supporter in my watch business endeavor.

The Dawg
I can't forget about our very handsome Irish Terrier, Remi! When he's not chasing squirrels and rabbits in our backyard, he's joining us on road trips and other adventures. This is him barely tolerating his hiking shoes and sweater vest.
